I was part of a 'virtual meeting' yesterday presented by DMA that
included many marketers. Lou Mastria was running the meeting. There were
several mentions of SPF and spf.pobox.com being referenced as a reference.
While the site redirect's to www.openspf.org, it may be best to contact
these folks and have them use the new site as a reference. I do not have any
of their email addresses, but I'm sure that they can be found on the net
somewhere.
The DMA actually isn't a significant source of referals to the SPF
website. Below is an edited list of most common URLs that still
reference the old website. I've already contacted a bunch of most
significant people, such as dnsstuff.com, AOL, and en.wikipedia.org.
The websites I've already contacted accounted for 90%+ of our referrers.
This zytrax book needs a lot of work... For example, it thinks that
macros use parentheses instead of curly-braces. *sigh*
Many of the, I'm not sure if it is really worth trying to get
changed because they are old published articles and such. Many are in
languages other than English, which is great, but it would probably be
most productive if someone who can speak their language contacts
them. Several are from people who aren't happy with SPF and may be
tempted to delete the URLs rather than update them.
Anyway, feel free to contact them. If you do, post a message saying
who you have contacted so that we don't flood them with requests.
