forget it, "substantial portion" is good enough, and everybody

It is called "Pareto's Principle", "80:20" rule, etc. A very successful
strategy used in life, economics, statistics, management, planning,
decision making, etc. "80%" is something most thinking people can
relate too, especially in anything technical related. "Substantial
portion" means nothing because it raises doubt about "what is
substantial?" Some people might think 5% is a substantial portion. If
you want to use "great majority" or just "majority" that would suffice.
