This can be easily automated.  If the forwarder has published SPF records 
itself, the only thing that needs to be known to set up the white-listing 
is the forwarder's domain, which the user would have to enter into some 
configuration interface.  Then the set of IP addresses that have to be 
white-listed can be deduced.

Yes, the trustedforwarder list in pymilter simply lists domains.  Even if
the forwarder doesn't publish SPF, pyspf supports local substitute
records (not much use to an end-user, but admins can deduce a useful
substitute SPF record from mail logs.)
