My domain is targeted every 2-3 months and I have been going through it
for years. I add SPF in early 2004 and it has not stopped them from
trying to abuse my domain. At least I get 98% fewer of these type
of messages since using SPF. I still get over 2500 spam emails per day
but 99% of them are caught by spamassassin. I average 10 non caught spams
per day. I put them in /tmp/spam and then run
formail -s spamassassin -r < /tmp/spam
formail -s spamassassin -k < /tmp/nospam
Every 4 hours from cron to update my spamassassin filter. It does help
a lot. My regular inbox is now 99% spam free since using this and SPF.
So I really like the combination. Till something better comes. This will
have to do.
