We did that (at least most of it) long ago. Read 1844. The test-results
are still coming in and still available on the URL mentioned in 1844.

Why doesn't somebody set up a web page of MIME test cases,
similar to the web page of content-types?
You type in your email address, and select from a list of test cases.
For each test case you select, the web server sends you two email
messages - one which is the test case itself, and another which
describes what the results should look like. (or you put the results
description on a web page).
People should be able to submit test cases to the server; others could
comment on whether those cases were bogus or not. This part could be
implemented as a moderated mailing list with a web-accessible threaded
archive -- the convention being that each test case has a new subject.
Seems a lot cheaper than a bake-off.
