Given that January 1, 2003 marked the 20th anniversary of continuous,
production use of TCP/IP, and that the core technical formats of
Internet email have been in continuous use for 25 years (remember than
RFC822 was merely an upgrade to RFC733)...
You might want to be a bit cautious about such certitude.
