If there were a standard syntax for a machine-readable bounce
explanation, then MUAs could convert those explanations into something
that makes sense in the context of the reader. It could automatically

"relay ABC". There might even be a little competition among developers
as they strive to write the most sensible and intelligible
interpretations of the standard.

Absolutely. Its something I've wanted to see for a long time:
MUA-specific localised etc renderings of bounces. If sufficient
information were presented standard an MUA could provide a little
wizardish interface for bounces. Say a dialog:

Your messages to BUBBA about SUBJECT wasn't didn't make it..

Click <here> to see the original message you sent that wasn't
  delivered.

Looking at your mail history/address book it seems that you meant to
send this message to <here> instead. Click <this> button to send your
  message to that (corrected) address.

Click <here> to review your message and resend it to a new or
  different address.

Click <here> for more help or explanations on what happened to your
  message.

Given at least a little help from the DSN that wouldn't be that
difficult.
