A few years back, when we were experimenting with greylisting, we had a
problem with someone we know sending from a site which only retried at
roughly 24 hour intervals, (and also from a different IP address each
time). The organization is a reasonably well known UK professional
institution.
The lesson was that you cannot necessarily rely upon reasonable retry
strategies from "legitimate" sources.
