Yes and no. There are some key aspects to physical mail that are
currently not present in email. One of them being a legal framework.
Physical mail provides services that currently are not available
in email, like proof of delivery. Now, some of these services are
generally not used by regular everyday folks, but businesses definitely
rely upon them, and providing those services into the email world
would be a big plus.
The challenge, from a usability standpoint, is to allow for more
complicated email services without burdening the typical uses of it.
