Somewhere near the beginning of the archive of this mailing list, you'll
find my ramblings on this topic. We ought to be able to devise a simple
scheme which allows us to find and verify the original content in a mail
with added lines at start or end.
What the recipient _does_ with that information is a matter of local
policy; what the mechanism should do is present the information in a
manner which is useful.
