RE: Wide-Open MADRID

Sauer, Damon:>
4. Why don't you want me to be able to say "0/0" if that is an accurate
description of my outbound mail config?

I do not believe that 0/0 is THE most accurate description you could
give.

You're requiring that I MUST NOT publish MARID if I'm totally agnostic
about what IPs source mail with my name on it, or that spammers MUST NOT
publish big-ISPs IPs (ha!). I still don't see why you need this built into
MARID. Let me publish whatever I like, if you don't like it - take whatever
action you wish. I would have thought that the wide-open (or not-my-IPs)
statement is giving you some information that you can use, more than if I
don't publish anything, certainly usable in an anti-spam application.

Sure, it's going to be best practice that one SHOULD NOT publish IPs
without the agreement of the assignee / controller / owner. It's an
inherent flaw /strength (?) of 'forward' schemes that this is possible.

JK
