Why should
_marid IN TXT "blabla"
be a subdomain and not supported while
www IN A 1.2.3.4
is a normal entry not causing a subdomain? Where's the difference?

IN TXT "..."
or
@ IN TXT "..."
and many users don't understand that. A TXT record for _marid

A record for _marid gets me this error:
"Host names may only contain 0-9, A-Z, or hyphen (-) characters."
Is that incorrect? Yes.
