There *is* a solution. If your domain does forwarding through SMTP
servers that do not yet have the mechanism(s) necessary to
work, then
publish with ~all.

You do not understand the problem. The difficulty with
forwarding occurs
at the receiving sites, not the sending sites that publish Sender-ID
records. If you use -all you must never send email to an
alias-fowarding
address -- but you have no way of knowing which addresses these are.

Valid point.

With more thought, you are correct, sorry.

I still support -all, because:
Another way of looking at it is, if the receiver wants to forward other (valid)
email address(es) to
his/her actual email address, the onus is on the recipient to ensure that the
MTA doing the forward
on his/her behalf has the necessary mechanisms. If it does not then either
accept the risk of
rejected email OR strive to get the sender to send to the final email address
directly.

I prefer the latter, which under consideration:
-if the sender a person, then an auto reply on the account saying (please now
use my direct address
to contact me) should suffice
-if the sender is automated (such as mailing list) then the person should have
updated their
subscription/registration/whatever with the direct email address.
