I don't want to rewrite major parts of KMail / GpgOL / Kleopatra with some
weird unstandartized custom compression stuff.
I'm confused. This thread is about deprecating compression algorithms, noone
mentioned adding "custom compression stuff".
Is your point that you would want to keep compression as a feature in those
applications, hence removing it from OpenPGP would mean you'd have to keep it
around unstandardized / on a different layer?
