No. imc.org has an MX record, and has for over a decae.

Or, you can be more specific. What is the problem of a host that is
never expected to be on the RHS of an email address expected to have
an MX record? That's an honest question, given that it has been over
12 years with the current setup.

Sorry for not being specific enough, I thought it would be obvious after
looking into the header of the message. I am referring to the address
owner-ietf-smtp(_at_)mail(_dot_)imc(_dot_)org(_dot_) In the meantime I am 
convinced that it is a
configuration error, because I looked into my archive:
