I agree with the goal, and with the mean (having a anti-harrasment
policy). I have one question before agreeing to everything:
IETF meetings, virtual meetings, and mailing lists are intended for
professional collaboration and networking. The IETF strives to
create and maintain an environment in which people are treated with
dignity, decency, and respect. Those who participate in the IETF
are expected to behave according to professional standards
The (ab)use of the term "professional" seems to imply that harassement
outside of the work place is normal, and worse, it could imply that we
fight harassment, not because it is wrong or illegal, but because it
is against the standards of the corporations. Why not simply say that
"Those who participate in the IETF are expected to behave as civilized
people"?
