Btw: the number of rooms we got seems to be reasonable, i think they only
have 600 rooms ? What exactly is it that ties IETF to that hotel ? If this
is the largest block of rooms, that doesn't bode well for the other hotels.
I now booked also the Royal Park. View from Landmark Tower is just spectacular.
And with the tip of the building swinging in the wind, i'll
expect to sleep like a baby in a cradle. Well, after some Suntory's Hibiki 17
against my fear of heights that is... ;-)

not being in the primary hotel has a very negative impact on my enjoyment and

Essentially you make more friends staying at the primary hotel. Those
friendships keep us coming back, help us break through the stalemates &
posturing. We get more done and have more fun doing it.
WG] I take your point, but if the room block is only 300, in a conference of
~1300, this is not the primary hotel in any manner other than possibly
proximity, so perhaps inability to book here will be a blessing in disguise.
