Re: IAOC requesting input on (potential) meeting cities

Agree, but we should have the figures to make a right and balanced decision,
right?

Is not the same if it cost 100.000 USD than 10.000 or 200.000 for each of those
meetings …, despite the risk of having 50% of the participants not attending,
which in terms of just “money” (not saying is the only thing that matters), 550
participants (half of regular attendance) means 440.000 USD at 800 USD
registration fee.

Regarding UK, yeah, I should have said Schengen, I think somebody else already
mention that point before.

Regards,
Jordi

One important question here, same as we had in the case of Singapore.

If we cancel San Francisco, how much that is going to cost to the IETF for
each of two planned meetings?

    3) However, for already contracted meetings, if this is going to cost IETF
thousands of dollars, we can’t afford that.

If the entire foreign contingent votes with its feet and stays home,
strikes me that IETF can't afford that either.

And further to your earlier remark:

The UK is, and will remain, a part of the EU until March 2019 in accordance
with Lisbon Treaty, Article 50.

PS The Treaty of Utrecht has no equivalent of Article 50.
