Perhaps you could have a new `inc' earlier in PATH that copies the mail
spool file to somewhere with a timestamp, e.g. date +%s.%N, and then
runs nmh's inc. That way you'd have a backlog of spool files to peruse
once the problem occurs again.
That's a great idea! But, I found one incidence of a spool file
being messed up the brute force way, by keeping an editor open on my
spool file.
