I guess 1.0 is the initial git (CVS) revision? Or perhaps `Initial
revision' is just the default `cvs init' comment that I've forgotten.
I'd have to dig back in history to discover the details. We never
got any revision history from Richard Coleman so when we took over we
started from scratch, and I forget who released what and exactly when it
all happened.
