Top level domains as countries are more appropriate for a system, with internationl aspirations.
This is hog wash. Transnational corporations are here today in a big way. Furthermore, if you looks under o=Internet in the DIT you will see that there are hierarchies specificly aranged to mimic DNS nameed "domainComponent=com" etc. There is no reason why (at least some) DN's and their certificates could not be stored in both DNS and X.500. brad
