Correct, but if you want to use IMAP on your Maildirs, uw-imapd wont
work. You will have to switch to courier/Cyrus IMAP.

Is there a drop in imapd replacement for uw-imapd which can do maildirs
and mbox? Shifiting to courier/cyrus imapd would require more changes to
my mail setup which i don't want to do.
