In my box, your message included a
X-Real-To: <dlh(_at_)dlh(_dot_)com>
header. It is put there by apk.net when they are dumping all the mail to a
domain into one mailbox. They're using procmail as the delivery agent to
put it in that mailbox. I don't see any tracks that might identify other
tools, but here are all the relevant headers from another message just in
case someone else would recognize them:
Received: from madcap.apk.net (madcap.apk.net [207.54.158.16])
by junior.apk.net (8.11.0/8.11.0/rchk1.22) with ESMTP id
g98081W16069
for <dlh(_at_)junior(_dot_)apk(_dot_)net>; Mon, 7 Oct 2002 20:08:01

X-IP-Test: 209.225.8.19
Received: from mx09.cluster1.charter.net (dc-mx09.cluster1.charter.net
[209.225.8.19]) by madcap.apk.net

for <spam(_at_)dlh(_dot_)com>; Mon, 7 Oct 2002 20:08:00 -0400 (EDT)
X-Real-To: <spam(_at_)dlh(_dot_)com>
everything before and after originated on some other system. (I munged the
address in that one.)

For now, change the sources to include it, and recompile.

I get mail such that my address ends up in an Envelope-To field, and
This seems reasonable to me too. I'm collecting a list of headers
that are used for the original envelope recipient address and
what programs/ISPs use them here:
Here's what I've got so far:
X-Delivered-to: used at FastMail.FM, an IMAP service provider, when possible
Delivered-To: used by qmail and safecat; can be used by Postfix
X-Envelope-To: can be used by the sendmail if there is one and only one
envelope recipient
Envelope-To:
X-Rcpt-To: was used at the now defunct Best.com
If anyone has anything to add to this list, please let me. E.g.,
what program(s) use Envelope-To:?
Thanks,
Nancy
