RE: Auto reply?

You all are doing to much...

My provider uses SpamAssassin that stamps the header with something like
this:
X-MailScanner-SpamCheck: spam, SpamAssassin (score=5.4, required 5,
BAYES_30,
        CLICK_BELOW, EXCUSE_3, HTML_20_30, HTML_LINK_CLICK_HERE,
        HTML_TABLE_THICK_BORDER, HTML_WEB_BUGS, MAILTO_TO_REMOVE,
        MAILTO_WITH_SUBJ, MAILTO_WITH_SUBJ_REMOVE, MSG_ID_ADDED_BY_MTA_2,
        SUBJ_DOLLARS, SUBJ_REMOVE, TO_ADDRESS_EQ_REAL)
X-MailScanner-SpamScore: sssss

I then have a .procmailrc file set up (provided to me by some one that uses
this mailing list ;)

# 5 or higher.
# (pray that scoring doesn't end up in the scores or hundreds!)
:0:
* ^X-MailScanner-SpamScore: sssss
/dev/null

This works great for me sure some crap still comes through but not that
many, and this setup doesn't make clients or friends do a bunch of
unessiary crap just to send me an email.

That's just it, he didn't mean "unsolicited"... You know how to set up such
a
thing, but most people will set it up and then go on asking questions on
mailinglists without setting correct reply-to's and/or forgetting to
whitelist
the mailinglist.

Last week I tried to help someone, just to get an autoreply saying that I
had
to verify my address before he'd read the help he'd asked for...
