I agree. A new RR is the right solution, but the situation argues for a
tradeoff. How about TXT now and a new RR type later? I think most
people would rather see spam stop today than in four years.
It's not a necessary tradeoff. Unless I've complletely misread the code,
nothing in BIND 9 prevents it from setting up and querying arbitrary RR
types.
