Only an indirect one. The part of your earlier message that I snipped
contained a false dilemma. You seemed to be implying that anti-forgery
mechanisms necessarily have a direct effect on forwarders, which they do
not.

Either forwarders need to preserve path information (SRS or other
techniques) and provide their own address for the envelope from of the
forwarded message, or nasty, evil people with fraud in mind will be able
to forge the envelope from to their own purposes.

SSAs allow forwarders to continue to work as they do now, whilst providing
protection from forgery.
