Looking up reverse DNS? So that if reverse DNS for an IP says
hostname.example.com, that IP can only send mail for example.com
users? What about an ISP, whose mail server may be handling mail for
thousands of customer domains? How would that work?

I see, you are right, I was only considering the point of view for my
(single) domain and not for an ISP...
