I am really not pleased with the way this has gone forward.
Agreed!
Is this the
place to discuss pro's and cons' of this guys idea?
Point well taken and I have stopped posting the SPF vs. SenderKeys, unless
someone attacks my reputation there.
However, I do think it is relevant to discuss aspects that pertain to adopt of
SPF:
http://archives.listbox.com/spf-discuss(_at_)v2(_dot_)listbox(_dot_)com/200408/0824.html
"Note, where "next step" incurs *potential* for false positive risk due to the
necessity to properly configure and use SMTP AUTH (client and server),
set/maintain correct IP records in the SPF DNS, and the human error prone
discipline of where to type an email address, which I outlined in a (now
closed) debate about SPF vs. SenderKeys:"
Which was the point of comparing SenderKeys to SPF, although the others took
the discussion in a brow-beating of AccuSpam.
I tried to redirect the discussion back to the point in my 7th post:
"Strengths of SPF and SenderKeys"
http://archives.listbox.com/spf-discuss(_at_)v2(_dot_)listbox(_dot_)com/200408/0670.html
But the others steered it back towards AccuSpam again.
If everyone would stop thinking I am trying to hurt SPF, and instead understand
I am trying to figure out how to spread anti-forgery as quickly as possible,
then maybe we could get back to work!
Thanks,
Shelby
