The HTML document is in need of a minor revision, you fell in
the CSS foreground colour on legacy background colour trap,
and that results in black on black with legacy browsers... ;-)

The problem is in the (outer table) line <td bgcolor=#000000>,
use CSS there.  You can test some "minus CSS" effects with
Delorie's viewer:

If you want PNGs converted to GIF I could do it, even to the
unpatented (*) format without LZW.  But I'm probably the last
user with a GUI browser not really supporting PNG, and I can
handle "broken image" icons.
