RE: OT: education needed

Once again, Alex, you fail to leave out huge chunks of the conversation that
took place between the two of us.

If you are going to ask this list for assistance, then please post the
ENTIRE TRANSCRIPT of the 5 messages that took place between the two of us.

If you don't post the FACTS, then people cannot respond with an accurate
answer - something that happens all too frequently on lists.

To confuse things even further, you have responded to the list with one
e-mail address: Alex van den Bogaerdt
[alex(_at_)ergens(_dot_)op(_dot_)het(_dot_)net] and were
communicating with me using another: Alex van den Bogaerdt
[alex(_at_)slot(_dot_)hollandcasino(_dot_)net]

Let's get the facts right before you begin accusing me of not knowing about
what I am discussing.

Hi,

Can someone please assist me in formulating a response to someone
who thinks he knows MTAs ? This guy has been around since the days
before SMTP and clearly cannot cope with today's complex environment.

Setup: see headers of this message.

This person thinks that mailbox alex(_at_)193(_dot_)172(_dot_)40(_dot_)25 is
related to me.

I tried to explain that local mailbox
alex(_at_)[193(_dot_)172(_dot_)40(_dot_)25] has nothing
to do with me. He insists that alex(_at_)193(_dot_)172(_dot_)40(_dot_)25 is a
good way to
determine if alex(_at_)ergens(_dot_)op(_dot_)het(_dot_)net, or
alex(_at_)slot(_dot_)hollandcasino(_dot_)net,
are deliverable addresses.

TIA,
alex(_at_)ergens(_dot_)op(_dot_)het(_dot_)net aka
alex(_at_)slot(_dot_)hollandcasino(_dot_)net
also thanks from alex(_at_)mail1(_dot_)hollandcasino(_dot_)net aka
alex(_at_)[193(_dot_)172(_dot_)40(_dot_)25]
