My advice to SPFC - "Keep the eye on the prize."
Just because I am a council member, I have not stopped being an
individual. I am taking part in this discussion as an individual, even
though the things discussed here may not be a priority for the SPF project
and for me as a council member. As an individual, I do reserve that
right.
When speaking as a council member, I add a corresponding signature to my
messages.
ME TOO! </aol>
Seriously, what Julian said goes very much for me also, and I suspect
for all other council members. please do *not* assume that I'm
speaking as a council member unless I am posting to the spf-council
list, talking on the #spf-council IRC channel, or explicitly saying so
here. I often play devil's advocate.
That *includes* my role as the SPF I-D editor. There may well be
times when we will need to take disagreements over the spec to the
council, but until then, I'm just another bozo on the bus.
