AOL and Microsoft have said they're looking at DomainKeys but the
providers are pushing their own email authentication technologies. AOL's
SPF and Microsoft's Sender ID check an email's identity through its
internet protocol address, and can be used alongside DomainKeys.

So we've sold out to AOL now, have we?

Part of publicity is having a good contact and hook for reporters
writing stories related to what you are publicizing. If AOL is
happy with being that hook, great.

It doesn't lessen the role the rest of the world plays, though it can
be quite annoying for the people who don't get mass media credit for
their major contributions.

BTW: thanks to Wayne, Frank, and everyone else who has been working
on hacking out the spec for IETF. You all have been doing great work
and it looks like the final product will be worth it.
