So we've sold out to AOL now, have we?

Part of publicity is having a good contact and hook for reporters
writing stories related to what you are publicizing. If AOL is
happy with being that hook, great.

It doesn't lessen the role the rest of the world plays, though it can
be quite annoying for the people who don't get mass media credit for
their major contributions.

I don't see it that way.  They are illegally stealing the ownership of the
technology.

What will happen the day AOL decides it no longer wishes to continue
"developing" SPF and will switch to DKIM and this is announced to the media
in this way?
