This is in response to both Wayne and Frank's post in
response to mine.
I appreciate and thank you for the clarifications you both
made about certain comments I made in my last post.
Rather than respond to each point, suffice it to say:
* Lead by Wayne, many people have put a lot of work into
documenting the existing usage of SPFv1.
* People can read the record for themselves and form their
own opinions as to the merit of the request and the likely
outcome.
* The IESG will ultimately respond to the SPF Council
request that SPFv1 be treated as a standard track proposal.
I have expressed my views as to the likely outcome, along
with making certain suggestions to improve the chances of
success and now simply wish everyone all the best
with this project.
