Different problem. If your door has always been unlocked so your kids
can get in and out, the burglar is a problem. If you then put a lock
on the door to keep the burglar out, the lock causes the problem that
your kids can't get in.
I disagree. The lock is not the problem. The kids need a key; if you
forget to give them one, you are the problem.
