fyi;

I've tried a couple of times to get a hold of James to talk about
having the SPF community have control over the openspf.org domain
name. So far, I have not gotten any response back.

I think you should give more time for James to respond, its summer and
he maybe on vacation.

That may well be true and that is why "continue to wait for James" was
one of the options I mentioned.

I mostly wanted to point out that the lack of switch-over to a new
domain name has not been because there aren't people working on it.
Also, I don't want people to be surprised if they read the SPF council
meeting logs and see that we are discussing the options.

Also, I guess I just wanted to mention this publicly in case anyone
here is in more regular contact with James and can give us a heads-up
about what is going on.

He was contacted immediately after the vote result was declared, and
twice more since then. How long do you want to wait?

If James is on a two week vacation, then it may be that no amount of
trying to contact him will do anything.

I think the domain name is something that is very important and very
long term. The voting results clearly showed that openspf was the
favorite. While I would have liked to see things move quicker, I
don't think we should drop openspf as an option just because someone
has chosen to take a vacation.

(For what it is worth, Canada celibrates its independance on July 1st,
so this is a likely time for Canadians to take a vacation.)
