But that's stupid, the SPF RR is relatively harmless, what about NAPTR
and other new types, they're essential.

This has been repeated here and on places like the DNSOP/DNSEXT IETF
mailing lists quite a few times.

Yes, mainly by Phil (PHB), but he's working for verisign, not for MS.

And then there are those people who think that MS is irrelevant.
*sigh*.

If they refuse to support important RR types like NAPTR they'll lose -
unlike SPF vs. TXT these types are not "optional".  Implementors need
this for their ENUM, IRIS, SIP, etc. applications.
