I am not very happy with that attitude.
I can see that for Americans, this does not matter that much,
they seldom use more than ASCII (as I almost exclusively use ascii
in my Englisg written communication - and I deal a lot with character
sets!).
Some Americans are hopeless.
They act actively agaist internationalization partly because they
don't need it so much and mostly because they don't want to admit
MIME is designed poorly on the issue.
They don't admit internationalization is necessary and actually
becoming widely available only because they don't have it. Of
course, they don't have it because they don't need it.
So, let's drive them away from the discussion and continue our
constructive work.
