! THAT is why I say that such communities need MIME to achieve proper
! interoperability.
I understand that some kind of technique is necessary to make
an interoperable and international messaging system.
Sure.
But, labeling scheme of MIME is not the only
way for interoperability of multi-lingual messaging.
No. MIME is merely for the interoperability of messages with different
localized encoding. As we know, for a people (actually, for most people)
who use only a single properly localized environment (ASCII compatibility
etc...), this mechanism is useless.
Whether the message is mono- or multi- lingual depends on each encoding
and is unrelated to MIME charset mechanism.
I guess iso-2022-int-* can be acceptable as another way for I14Y,
if it does not violate rfc822.
What is I14Y? I geessed it somewhat related to I18N. If so,
you should have said:
I guess iso-2022-int-* can be acceptable as a way for I14Y.
MIME is unrelated to I18N.
