I had to stop reading here. Perhaps you're feeding Dave
misinformation, Doug.
It has been clearly stated to you how the draft works in this
situation - the listing criteria for this 8 year old open relay is
STILL ACTIVE, so it doesn't get delisted.
Please forward that to Dave to correct his misinformation.
I am also concerned that my comments were incorrectly characterized in
Dave Rand's missive. I did not advocate automatic retesting. I was
referring to automatic expiration, which I have found to be a best
practice, and I would recommend to others, in any sort of
exploit/relay abuse type of list. Timeliness matters.
I would second (or is it third?) the request that Dave should either
participate or not participate. I don't think his method of dictating
something out of band occasionally and having Doug Otis drop it into
the conversation is really moving anything forward.
