Folsk have argued that the network address is another identity that needs
considering.
I argue that the network address is but a means to verify one of the
identities Marshall's pointed out above. Of important note:
* Users don't see network addresses.
* Hell, users don't even ordinarily see network servers. They see their mail
client and a mailbox.
We can think outside of the (mail)box but I don't expect users to.
There are other means in addition to network addresses to determine if a
sender is who they say they are, and there are already companies whose
business is providing those.
