[ about RFC 1034's database-consistency requirement ]
The only way to meet this all the times and at all levels
of the DNS is to have the all the zones administered on a
single machine *and* to have a multizone transfer protocol.
False; and, more importantly, irrelevant.
RFC 1034 clearly prohibits your broken configurations. You admit this.
It's now obvious to everybody that you're talking about real protocol
changes, not ``clarifications.''
You want to change the protocol. Okay. Make an honest proposal in the
DNSEXT WG, and we'll discuss it. Don't try to slip it past us as part
of an ``AXFR clarification.''
