I see that it is an IETF mail by seeing that it got routed into my IETF
folder. (It gets there by my filters checking whether Sender is
owner-ietf(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org(_dot_))
On the other claw, sometimes I have to get my mail over the web, in
which case the folder routing rules haven't been applied. For this
reason, I'd support a *short* tag, such as "[ietf]". To those who
bitch about the waste of bits: clamp down on topic drift, large
signatures, unnecessary headers (including spam-detection hints!), etc.
etc. etc. first!
