The U.S. Dept. of Commerce recognizes ICANN exclusively (via an MoU)
with regard to certain Internet functions, so maybe that makes ICANN
"special," once removed :-).
are you asserting DoC will step in to save ICANN from bad business
choices/practices?
that ICANN will not be allowed to fail? I'd be willing to believe the functions
will be protected, but not specific institutions.
