Obviously all other things being equal, I’d rather be in Hawaii than

I don't know about anyone else, but I would vastly prefer to be in
Minneapolis. It's closer, cheaper, more conducive to work, and the
food is better.

Legend has it that there was once a meeting in Hawaii, and nothing got
done. The beach and all that.

I checked out the Proceedings from IETF-15 in Honolulu. Confirmed my
recollection that it was a pretty productive meeting. Quoted from Craig
Partridge's summary of the "Host and User Services Area" WG meetings:

"The major activities in Host-Based Services were the meeting of the Dynamic
Host Configuration Working Group (which is progressing faster than expected
towards developing a configuratihon [sic] protocol)"

Don't underestimate the value of "cheap", something Minneapolis has in spades.
