Should we ship 1.5 with a "heads up, changes contemplated for the next release"
list, so people can start thinking ahead and/or commenting?
We already have a list like that for 1.5, but I think it's too late for
MM_CHARSET for this release. Maybe mark it as deprecated for 1.6 (or whatever)
and then remove it for the release after that?
