Doug,
The people who worked on PEM initially, and contributed to the
RFC and built implementations are still on the list and are still
actively involved in PEM. I just published a large article on PEM in
CACM this month, I'll be giving a talk on the PEM certification system
at INET 93 and another talk on PEM at UTexas both later this month.
We have not died; some of us are building PEM implementations, some
are working to establish the certification infrastructure, some of us
are trying to explain it to prospective users, but not all of us may
be disposed to participate in your poll.
By the way, under the categories of people working on PEM that
I described above, in which category do you fit personally, Doug: PEM
developer, would-be PCA or CA operator, PEM-evangelist, other?
