Well, I have no idea what you mean. What do you mean by the MUA
level? I think that you mean MDA. (And I do not think that this is
really a satisfactory distinction because things like POP/IMAP and
procmail do not really fit in nicely) (unless you want to call them an
extension of the delivery agents).
I was thinking of "procmail" as a special kind of MUA, but I guess
that's not completely correct.
My thought was to make procmail, POP/IMAP, mailing lists, etc. all
"fit in" my taking the entire email universe and throwing out
"sendmail" (more-or-less getting a message from point A to point B)
and MIME-like things (more-or-less anything concerned with
interpreting body of a mail message). At least that was the
thought...don't know how much sense it makes...
