Set it up in a sandbox (see my .sig) and you'll easily be able to test
against saved email without actually generating new messages in the mail
stream (my sandbox redefines $SENDMAIL to a script which stores the message
text to a file, along with a dummied-up header showing the sendmail
arguments passed).
