of the large file attach through Dallman's vsnag.
I agree again. AFAIK vsnag doesn't have a 'header-only' mode.
Well, it can't, really, since it's looking for specific information
about attachments, and that information is generally only devinable
from the body.

Yes, but somebody could choose to send a shrunk version of a big message
through vsnag, using only the header and a limited number of lines (or
bytes) from (the start of) the body.
But that requires an external process, so that shrinking will most
likely not be worth the cycles spent (unless maybe when there is a
specific massive attack with large malware-messages).
